Jarry Park turns 90! / 90e anniversaire du parc Jarry !

Jarry Park is 90 years old!

You are invited to join the Park Extension Historical Society and the Friends of Jarry Park in a big birthday celebration on Saturday, June 20th. There will be an exposition of sculptures created by local schoolchildren, a drawing class, and free cricket and slackline workshops starting at 4pm. A presentation of the park's history will take place in the gazebo at 5:30pm and 8pm.

At 7pm, the Jarry Brass Band will entertain us as we picnic together and toast our favourite park at dusk. Bring your own meal, or try out the food truck which will be on site. There may even be a birthday cake to share for dessert...

Le parc Jarry fête ses 90 ans !

Pour souligner cet évènement, la Coalition des amis du parc Jarry (CAP Jarry) et la Société d'histoire de Parc-Extension vous invitent à célébrer cet anniversaire le samedi 20 juin. Exposition de sculptures conçues par des élèves des écoles voisines du parc, atelier gratuit de dessin, et initiation au cricket et de slackline sont au programme dès 16 h. Une présentation de l'histoire du parc aura lieu au kiosque à 17h30 et à 20 h.

À 19 h, la fantastique Fanfare Jarry vous fera danser sur des airs d’Europe de l’Est lors du grand pique-nique citoyen (apportez votre propre repas, ou essayez le camion de cuisine de rue sur place). Nous trinquerons à notre parc favori au crépuscule. Il y aura peut-être même du gâteau pour dessert...
